Production capacities of Zondec
Zondec's production facilities are located in Penza (Russian Federation) and are designed to produce at least 5,000 sensors per month. Thanks to the introduction of innovative production methods, it is possible to maintain high quality of products, ensure minimum guaranteed delivery times, and offer a minimum cost of products for our customers.
Zondeck's technical experts have implemented more than 20 changes to the technological and assembly processes (including those requested by customers), which have improved the technical characteristics of our sensors, reduced their cost and at the same time increased their service life. We are currently developing new products and innovative production solutions that guarantee stable growth and further competitive advantages for Zondec products.
The quality and reliability of temperature sensors is achieved through in-house production of sensor housings, selection of reliable suppliers of sensor elements, strict adherence to instructions, design documentation and internal rules in the production process and final assembly of products. The Technical Control Department carries out strict quality control of the products before shipment and packaging of temperature and humidity sensors.
Our sensors are manufactured using materials that allow them to be used for longer periods of time in virtually all climatic zones of the Russian Federation. The casing of our sensors is made of glass-filled polyamide. This material has increased impact strength, minimal thermal expansion coefficient and moisture absorption. We use wires with increased elasticity and insulation thicknesses as the leads for sensor sensors, which retain flexibility without cracks at temperatures down to -60°C. For fixing the sensitive elements in the sensor housing and protection against environmental influences we use compounds only on the basis of modified resin without plasticizers. Such compounds have lower water absorption (greater frost resistance) and lower electrical conductivity. For the production of sensitive elements, we use components whose requirements meet AEC-Q200 and RoHS standards.
Sensor testing is an important step in production:
Stage 1: all necessary elements for the production of sensors undergo initial acceptance: visual inspection, measurement of basic physical parameters, comparison with a standard.
Step 2: Before assembling the sensor, the assembly with the sensor is checked: visual inspection of the soldering point and insulation, check for open and short circuit, nominal resistance at a given temperature.
Step 3: after assembly, each sensor is checked to ensure that the sensor resistance readings meet the requirements of the car manufacturers.
Stage 4: before packing and shipping to the finished product warehouse, several sensors from the batch are checked at a special stand where their readings are compared with those of the "Sensor-Etalon".
